26 Nov 2019 The Utah Present Situation Index, which measures Utahns' feelings about current economic conditions, is down 1.7 points from last month,  Time serie consumer confidence.

U.S. consumer confidence rose more than expected in October to the highest in almost 17 years as Americans grew more confident about the economy and job market, according to figures Tuesday from the New York-based Conference Board. Confidence index rose to 125.9 (est. 121.5), highest since Dec. 2000, from 120.6 in Sept. The index is based on consumers’ perceptions of current business and employment conditions, as well as their expectations for six months hence regarding business conditions, employment, and income. The University of Michigan consumer sentiment index in the US increased to 100.9 in February of 2020 from 99.8 in January, beating market forecasts of 99.5, preliminary estimates showed. It is the highest reading since March of 2018 amid improving expectations (92.6 from 90.5) while the gauge for current conditions declined (113.8 from 114.4). Consumer confidence index (CCI) This consumer confidence indicator provides an indication of future developments of households’ consumption and saving, based upon answers regarding their expected financial situation, their sentiment about the general economic situation, unemployment and capability of savings.
